AXIS publishes four services: mynatal (chart readings), mymatrix (destiny matrix), mymap (astrocartography) and axisapps consultation (an assistant for professional astrologers). This page describes what data is processed, why, for how long, by whom, and the rights you have.
Who is responsible for what
For mynatal, mymatrix and mymap, AXIS (Rémi Beaurain, contact@axisapps.app) is the data controller for the data you provide.
For the practitioner subscription alone, the data of the astrologer's clients (birth data, what is said during a session) are the responsibility of the astrologer, who is the data controller for it; AXIS then acts as a processor within the meaning of Article 28 of the GDPR, under the terms of appendix B of the terms of sale.
What is processed, and for how long
- Account: email address, display name, subscription status. Kept for as long as the account exists.
- mynatal readings and consultations: birth data (first name or reference, date, time if known, place), the text of the reading, follow-up questions, and for a live session its transcript and its summary. Automatically deleted 30 days after the end of the session or of the reading.
- Reference chart: on a personal account, your birth details are kept beyondthe 30 days, as a single record attached to your account. Without them, the “your sky today” page could no longer compute anything once your readings are erased. They serve that purpose only, are never cross-referenced with another account, and are deleted with yours.
- Matrices and maps: date of birth, and for a map the first name, the time and the place of birth. A matrix or a map created without a purchase and never viewed is deleted after 90 days. On an account that has purchased the product, they are kept for as long as the account exists, so that you can reread at any time what you paid for.
- Free preview of a matrix: the date of birth entered and the preview text, with no name and no account attached, are kept with no time limit.
- Audio: the audio segments of a live session are used only for transcription and are never stored.
- Technical and audit logs: 12 months at most. The IP address is never stored in clear text, only as a salted hash used for the anti-abuse caps.
- Orders and billing: payment is processed by Stripe, which keeps the payment details (AXIS never has access to them). The amount, the currency and the buyer's email address constitute an accounting record, kept for ten years as article L123-22 of the French Commercial Code (Code de commerce) requires, including after the account is deleted.
- Emails sent: the recipient address, the language and the campaign concerned are kept with no time limit, so that you are not written to twice with the same thing. If you unsubscribe or if a message bounces, your address is added to a suppression list kept on a lasting basis: that is what guarantees you will not be written to again.
- Practitioner access request: name, email address, practice and message are used to get back to you, and are automatically deleted 24 months after they are sent.
- Usage measurement: technical events along the journey (a payment screen being displayed, a subscription click) are kept for 12 months, and reminders of key dates for 35 days after the date concerned.
The deletions above are automatic: they are carried out every night by jobs scheduled in the database, with no human involvement.
Providers that receive data
Storage is hosted in Europe (Supabase, Frankfurt). Some processing goes through specialized providers. All of them are bound by a data processing agreement, and transfers outside the European Union are governed by the appropriate safeguards of chapter V of the GDPR.
- Cloudflare, Inc. (United States / EU): hosting and delivery of the application, and bot protection on the signup form.
- Supabase, Inc. (Frankfurt, Germany): database and authentication.
- Render Services, Inc. (Frankfurt, Germany): hosting of the two astronomical calculation engines, which receive the date, the time and the place of birth in order to compute positions, aspects and lines.
- LocationIQ (United States): conversion of the name of the city of birth into geographic coordinates.
- Upstash, Inc. (EU): technical cache holding the result of a geocoding lookup for seven days, and anti-abuse counters.
- Anthropic PBC (United States): generation of the readings, of the preparation notes and of the summaries.
- Groq, Inc. (United States): transcription of audio into text, and generation of the analysis suggestions and of the summary during a live session.
- OpenRouter, Inc. (United States): technical relay to the two model hosts below.
- DeepInfra, Inc. and Fireworks AI, Inc. (United States): generation of the answers to follow-up questions, and of the readings written in French. Selected for their no-retention policy; the data sent is not used to train the models and is never routed outside these two hosts.
- Cartesia AI, Inc. (United States): text-to-speech, only if reading aloud is enabled during a session.
- Stripe, Inc. (United States / EU): payment and billing.
- Resend, Inc. (United States): sending of the emails, with an unsubscribe link in every non-transactional message.
No reading data and no session data is ever used to train an artificial intelligence model: neither by AXIS, nor by its providers under their commercial terms.
Deleting your account
Deletion is done from the Subscription page of your account area. It is final and erases your account, your readings, your matrices, your maps, your reference chart and your consultations.
Three things survive it, and it is better to know before you click:
- the accounting records of a purchase already paid for (amount, currency, email address), kept for ten years by legal obligation;
- your presence on the email suppression list, where applicable: removing you from it would amount to writing to you again;
- any practitioner access request, until it reaches 24 months.
If you would like these items erased as well, to the extent that the law allows, write to contact@axisapps.app.
Your rights
In accordance with Articles 15 to 22 of the GDPR, you have the rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and objection. Write to contact@axisapps.app; answer within 30 days. You may also lodge a complaint with the CNIL (cnil.fr).
Clients' consent (practitioner subscription)
The astrologer informs their client of the transcription and obtains their consent before turning on the microphone. A suggested wording is provided on the consent page and in the app at the start of each consultation.
